A venture or Adventure?

When you first decided to create your business, did you view it as a venture or adventure?

I’ve always thought “venture” was a very business-like, objective term. Dollars or pounds or yen. Pros and cons. Details. Boring facts & figures. Dry, stale, stodgy people evaluating minutiae.

As it turns out…. venture isn’t such a stale, stodgy (or dodgy) term after all.

Venture as a noun means a risky, daring journey and is synonymous with adventure

Venture as a verb means to risk or offer

So, I’m on an adventure with my business venture to determine what I will venture next.

(what a catchy new phrase to replace “Peter Piper picked…”)
